Can I trust shipping my gear without it being lost?

I know this has been similarly asked many times but i’m scared to ship my gear to MBP or Adorama, what if it gets lost or stolen on the way? Will either store compensate me or do I just lose my gear?

This is my first time selling and they seem to give a decent quote without hassle. Can anyone share how the process works and if i can trust to send it via mail and not risk losing it or it getting damaged on the way. Thanks
