Do I Need a Korean Visa for Connecting Flights (Philippine Passport + Canada PR) to Japan?

Hi! Help a first time traveller. I recently got approved for a single-entry Japan eVisa and booked my flights through Expedia under Korean Air (operated by west jest i think).

I’m a Philippine passport holder with a Canadian PR card.

I just want to confirm:

• Do I need a Korean visa for my connecting flights in Seoul? • Do I need to go through immigration during layovers? • Do I need to collect and re-check my luggage at each connection?

Itinerary Summary:

Departure (May 19–20):

• Toronto (YYZ) → Vancouver (YVR) • 9:30 AM departure (WestJet, operated for Korean Air) • 5h 15m flight • Layover in Vancouver: 2h 45m • Vancouver (YVR) → Seoul (ICN) • 2:30 PM departure (Korean Air) • 11h 20m flight • Layover in Seoul (Incheon): 2h 40m • Seoul (ICN) → Tokyo (NRT/HND) • 8:30 PM departure • 2h 20m flight

Return (June 2–3):

• Tokyo (NRT) → Seoul (ICN) • 7:00 PM departure • 2h 30m flight • Layover in Seoul: 1h 10m • Seoul (ICN) → Vancouver (YVR) • 10:40 PM departure • 10h 5m flight • Layover in Vancouver: \~5h 50m • Vancouver (YVR) → Toronto (YYZ) • 10:35 PM departure (WestJet) • 4h 35m flight • Arrival: 6:10 AM (June 3)
