Travel with expired residence card

Hopefully this is the right sub for this but I just wanted to see if anyone has any information on what might be best in this situation. For reference this is all in Schengen and I do have a passport that typically has 90 days visa free.

- I have a residence card in country A that expired a few days ago.

- I will be flying out of country B

- I last entered Schengen 1 month ago using (at the time) my valid residence card. That was flying into a third country.

Seems kind of a dumb question but do I show country B my card on the way out to make sure that the last month since my last stamp isn’t counted against my 90 days? As it was spent in my country of residence.

Or do I just show them my passport without the card and be stamped out as normal, would that leave me with only 60 visa free days left? Normally that would be fine but I have a trip planned and would rather not cut it close.

Thanks!
