Croatia in 5 Days: Are Plitvice and Hvar Realistic or Too Ambitious?

Hi everyone 👋

I'm planning a trip to Croatia and I'd love your advice!

Here's my situation:

- I arrive at Split Airport on April 30th at 10:25 AM.

- I depart on May 5th at 11:20 AM.

- So I have about 5 full days.

Initially, I wanted to visit Plitvice Lakes and spend some time in Hvar.

But now I'm wondering if that's really a good idea given the limited time I have.

My main question is:

👉 Is Plitvice worth it with such a short stay, or should I adjust my itinerary and focus on fewer places?

I'm also undecided about Hvar:

- Is it better to stay on the island for 1 or 2 nights (not necessarily in Hvar itself), perhaps with a rental car?

- Or perhaps a day trip from Split without a car?

In short, I want to enjoy the trip, see beautiful places, but without too much stress.

So I'm open to any advice:

- What would you recommend I prioritize with 5 days?

- Should I skip Plitvice or include it?

- Do you have any suggestions for a well-balanced and enjoyable itinerary?

My wife proposed itinerary:

Day 1 - Trogir + Ferry to Hvar

Day 2 - Hvar

Day 3 - Hvar

Day 4 - Hvar > Split > Plitvice

Day 5 - Plitvice with return to Split

Day 6 - Return

Thanks in advance 🙏
